Rice landed a commitment on Tuesday night as the Owls dipped into Illinois in the 2015 class.

Stevenson Class of 2015 guard Connor Cashaw committed to head coach Mike Rhoades and Rice during a Tuesday night press conference at his school.

The 6-foot-4 Cashaw has been a backcourt starter with Villanova commit Jalen Brunson the last two seasons and the duo has led the Patriots to two straight Illinois Class 4A Final Four apperances.

Cashaw, like Brunson, also ran with the Mac Irvin Fire in the EYBL and he averaged 8.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on 46 percent shooting from the field and 42 percent from three-point range.

Cashaw is considered a three-star prospect on Rivals and chose Rice over other finalists of Harvard and Lehigh. Rice also has a commitment from 2015 point guard Marcus Evans in the 2015 class.
