The Baylor perimeter took a hit last week when it was reported that three-star guard Kobe Eubanks would not be enrolling in the school this fall. Instead, the 6-foot-5 scoring guard will head to prep school for a postgraduate season.

According to Adam Finkelstein of ESPN, Eubanks will attend Elev-8 Sports Institute in Delray Beach, Florida. Up until last Thursday Eubanks was slated to join the program as one of five three-star commits, though, he was not cleared by the NCAA.

Without the services of Eubanks, who averaged 18.5 points per game this past season for Our Savior New American (New York), Baylor head coach Scott Drew will have to rely on returning point guard Kenny Chery, newcomers Lester Medford and Damiyne Durham along with redshirt freshman Allerik Freeman, a 6-foot-4 guard who was the No. 81 overall recruit in Rivals’ Class of 2013.

Baylor’s Class of 2015 includes four-star shooting guard King McClure and three-star point guard Jake Lindsey.
