With Benny Parker (junior) and Tai Webster (sophomore) both being members of the rotation for a team that reached the NCAA tournament a season ago, Nebraska has experienced players at the point guard position. However they combined to average 2.9 assists per game (Webster: 2.0 apg) last season, so adding another distributor to the fold wouldn’t hurt matters at all.
Sunday afternoon head coach Tim Miles received a verbal commitment from Glynn Watson, one of the best point guards in the Class of 2015. The news was made public by the Illinois Wolves AAU program, and it comes on the heels of Watson’s official visit to Nebraska. With that being the case, it’s obvious that the St. Joseph HS (Westchester, Illinois) senior enjoyed his time in Lincoln.

As a junior Watson averaged 15 points and five assists per game on a team that finished the season with a 25-8 record. His ability to get to the basket off the dribble is a trait that could open things up for the other players on the floor when he arrives at Nebraska. Among the other schools to have offered Watson were Creighton, Maryland and West Virginia.
Watson is the second commitment in the Class of 2015 for Nebraska, with power forward Michael Jacobson being the other verbal pledge.
