The schedule for Big Monday during the 2014-2015 season has been released, and as you might expect, it is loaded.

The games kick off when league play begins for the ACC and the Big 12, which is in early January, and will be comprised of eight double-headers, one on each Monday from January 5th through March 2nd with the exception of January 12th.

North Carolina and Virginia both lead the ACC with three appearances on Big Monday, while Pitt, Syracuse and Duke are all on twice. Louisville makes just one appearance in their inaugural ACC season, as does Notre Dame, Florida State and Georgia Tech.

Six of the first seven Big 12 Big Monday games will feature either Kansas or Texas, with Iowa State visiting Oklahoma being the only game that doesn’t. That makes sense given that those are the four best teams in the conference; Kansas and Texas will both be in the top ten in the preseason with Iowa State and Oklahoma are both preseason top 25 ball clubs.

The final Big 12 Big Monday game will be determined at a later date. It will either be Baylor at Texas or Iowa State at Oklahoma, meaning that every Big Monday game in the Big 12 will feature one of the two top ten teams in the conference or it will be a battle between two preseason top 25 clubs.

That’s a good thing.
