Last April, Hammond School (South Carolina) 2016 guard Seventh Woods came on the scene with a freshmen year mixtape that went viral. The 6-foot-1 recruit proved that highlight-reel wasn’t just a flash in the pan.
Woods earned a spot on the the USA Basketball’s Under-16 team that won the Gold Medal at the 2013 FIBA Americas Championships. He has also risen to the top of many recruiting services, listed as the No. 5 overall player in his class, according to Rivals with offers from Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wichita State.
The five-star prospect has been a player to follow on the grassroots circuit, playing for the Carolina Wolves in the Under Armour Association. He’s second on the team in scoring at 14.6 points along with 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
