Vanderbilt picked up a transfer commitment on Monday night as Cornell sophomore guard Nolan Cressler opted to make the move to the SEC, he announced on Twitter.

The 6-foot-4 Cressler was an honorable mention All-Ivy League performer during the 2013-14 season and averaged 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists during his sophomore campaign for the Big Red, but the team struggled to a 2-26 record.
The sophomore will have to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer regulations and will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Commodores.
Cressler quickly became a coveted transfer this spring and was offered by Dayton, Notre Dame and Rutgers while schools like Butler, Creighton, Northwestern and Pitt showed interest.
The sophomore shot 40 percent from three-point range during his freshman year while shooting 36 percent from three-point range last season.
