Montana State found a new head coach on Monday night as ESPN.com’s Jeff Goodman reported that the Bobcats are hiring Oregon assistant coach Brian Fish.

A news conference is scheduled for Wednesday, according to Goodman.

Fish has been under current Oregon head coach Dana Altman for 14 seasons at Marshall, Creighton and Oregon and has 24 years of Division 1 coaching experience in total.

The former Oregon assistant played a key role in signing Ducks starting point guard Johnathan Loyd.

Fish replaces former head coach Brad Huse who coached Montana State for eight seasons before a 14-17 season cost him his job.
