Marcus Smart had one of the worst performances of his collegiate career on Saturday afternoon.
Not only did he finish just 1-for-7 from the floor with all of four points before fouling out, he had a couple of embarrassing meltdowns as well.
ESPN’s cameras caught him kicking a chair on the sideline in the first half. In the second half, after taking an elbow to the chops, he walked off the court and could be seen, visibly upset, in a hallway behind the bench.
A couple of hours after the game, Smart took to twitter to apologize for his actions:Today wasn’t one of my most proudest moments I lost my composure and left my team hanging it won’t happen again and I apologize to my team

There’s no questioning Smart’s passion and competitiveness.
But he cannot allow it to affect his play on the court.
