Syracuse loses Dajuan Coleman for the rest of the year

Jim Boeheim DaJuan Coleman

The Syracuse Orange suffered a big loss on Monday afternoon as it was reported by the Post-Standard that reserve sophomore center Dajuan Coleman will miss the rest of the season after he’ll need leg surgery to repair an injury.

Coleman has missed the last three games for the Orange with the injured leg, which he can’t run or jump on without pain. The 6-foot-9 center started the first 12 games of the season was averaging 4.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 13 contests overall.

“This is a tremendous disappointment, especially considering the amount of hard work Dajuan has been putting in with our basketball team,” said Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim to the Post-Standard. “We will certainly miss his contributions.”

This is definitely a loss for Syracuse on the interior, but they’ll still have Baye-Moussa Keita and Rakeem Christmas and are playing quite well without Coleman as well.
