Back when I was running Ballin’ is a Habit, Renaldo Woolridge, aka Swiperboy, was one of the site’s favorite players.
The 6-foot-9 then-Tennessee forward dabbled as a rapper, putting out some pretty good songs over professionally made beats. But he briefly retired from rapping in August of 2011 to focus on hoops before he eventually left Tennessee to head back to USC for his senior year in 2012-2013.
Here’s where it gets fun. Woolridge has a bit of a history with Lane Kiffin. Remember back in 2010 when Kiffin ditched the Vols after one season for USC? Well, Woolridge wrote a love song titled “Never Leave You Like Kiffin”. It was good:
Woolridge once again ended up at the same school as Kiffin, and when USC’s Public Enemy No. 1 was kicked off the team bus and left at the airport after being fired early Sunday morning. Woolridge responded by writing a sequel to his first song, called “Fired Like Kiffin”:
Seems like those two have a great relationship
