South Dakota State added former Wisconsin Badgers forward Joe Krabbenhoft as an assistant coach, per a report from the Associated Press. Krabbenhoft appeared in all 136 games of his collegiate career at Wisconsin, where he played under coach Bo Ryan from 2005 through 2009.

Krabbenhoft recently began his coaching career by serving as Wisconsin’s video coordinator last season after a brief professional playing stint in the NBA D-League and professional basketball leagues in South Korea, Spain and Greece.

The Jackrabbits have represented the Summit League in the NCAA Tournament each of the past two seasons and Krabbenhoft joining the staff just adds another part of the program with winning experience.

Krabbenhoft’s career track record at Wisconsin included 100 wins in those 136 appearances and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in all four of his seasons.

A 6-7 forward, Krabbenhoft ended his Wisconsin career with 827 points, 756 rebounds and 273 assists and was also a team captain earning All-Big Ten defensive team honors during his senior season in 2008-09.
