Varez Ward pleaded not guilty this morning to charges that he shaved points during at least one Auburn basketball games during the 2011-2012 season.

Ward was indicted on Tuesday on two different counts.

His trial is scheduled to begin on July 22nd, and he faces up to five years in prison on each charge.

This isn’t the only point-shaving scandal involving college hoops that has been in the news in recent weeks. The FBI released details in the case involving San Diego’s Brandon Johnson last month.
