It appears as if Zach Price is transferring from Louisville

Zach Price, a 6-foot-10 center that averaged 1.4 points and 1.3 boards for Louisville as a sophomore, appears to be transferring out of the program.

After Price posted, and promptly deleted, a couple of ominous tweets on Friday night, head coach Rick Pitino was asked about them on Tuesday at a press conference for his Maker’s Mark bottle.

His response?

“If he goes it’s not a big deal,” Pitino said. “You’re not going to hold onto everybody. If he does leave we wish him well and hope he has great success. I would say he’s gone because our players don’t tweet, so that’s a good indication. I spoke to him by text because he missed some summer classes, so that’s [another] indication.”

Price followed that up with the following tweets on Tuesday:

Cardinal fans are the best fans this country has to offer for any college sport, I appreciate the love, and God bless you all!

It was truly a pleasure playing for this university.

Looks like Louisville’s thin front court just got that much thinner.
