The number of Division I school without a head coach was dropped to one on Thursday, as UMass-Lowell has hired former Northeastern assistant Pat Duquette, according to reports.
Duquette has spent the past four seasons under Bill Coen at Northeastern after working on the Boston College staff for 13 years.
Duquette will be in an interesting situation at UML, as the program will be making their move to Division I, becoming a member of the America East conference. He’ll be replacing Greg Herenda, who took over at Fairleigh Dickinson.
Lipscomb is now the only program waiting to hire a head coach.
