Rotnei Clarke still has the shot of the year.

Given the situation, the opponent and the fact that he did it on national television at primetime, he’s still the clubhouse leader.

But Georgia State’s Rashaad Richardson wanted to throw his hat into the mix:

“It felt like forever for Rashaad’s shot to go in,” Georgia State coach Ron Hunter told reporters after the game. “I remember watching it go up and thinking it had a chance, but I don’t really remember anything after that as the crowd went crazy. I am extremely proud of him.”

The shot capped what was a frenetic final 25 seconds. TSU’s Jordan Cyphers hit a three with 25 seconds left to take a one point lead, and GSU answered with a pair of free throws with seven seconds left. But with two seconds left on the clock, DeShawn Dockery scored on a layup to take the lead and set up the game-winning shot.
