- Should it really come as any surprise that Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina have the most former-players in the NBA right now?

- The NCAA finally handed down a decision to UCLA freshman Kyle Anderson and its good news (He is eligible). Unfortunately, we still have yet to hear about Shabazz Muhammad, and to be honest, he’s the difference-maker

- Minnesota freshman Wally Ellenson broke his had during practice on Monday and he will be required to sit out 6-8 weeks. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is still debating the idea of taking a redshirt year. He was being counted on to back up the starting wings, Austin Hollins and Joe Coleman

With all the injuries sustained already, and no guarantee that Le’Bryan Nash and Marcus Smart stay after this season, Travis Ford needs to win now, and he will need to have all the manpower he can get

- Michigan’s sophomore All-American guard Trey Burke has been suspended for the Wolverines exhibition opener tonight against Northern Michigan. According to the school e is being punished for an undisclosed violation of team rules

- Highly touted Class of 2013 forward Beejay Anya has set a date for his college decision. the DeMatha (Md.) star will tell the world on November 16th. He says it’s down to Indiana and NC-State, but according to reports North Carolina State is the clear frontrunner. Mark Gottfried sure is putting together something special down in Raleigh

- Butler has never really had the benefit of playing a big, frontcourt-oriented style of basketball. But with talented upperclassmen bif-men Andrew Smith and Khyle Marshall, coach Brad Stevens is going to build his offense from the inside out
