The second annual Brayden Carr Clinic is set to take place Sept. 21 at Rutgers’ home court, the RAC, in New Jersey and sports a cast of high-major coaches that would rival any similar event.

The clinic’s lineup, now finalized, includes Florida coach Billy Donovan, Indiana coach Tom Crean, Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun, and former St. John’s coach and current TV analyst Fran Fraschilla.

It also includes non-college coaches Stan Van Gundy, formerly of the Orlando Magic, and Kevin Eastman, who won a championship as an assistant with the Boston Celtics in 2008.

In its first year, the Brayden Carr Clinic raised over $75,000 for the Brayden Carr Foundation, an organization set up in honor of the 2-year-old son of former Rutgers coach Jimmy Carr, who died in 2011 after battling illness.

Last year’s cast of speakers included John Calipari of Kentucky, who went on to win a national championship last season, Bill Self of Kansas, Larry Brown, now at SMU, Mike Rice of Rutgers, Bob Hurley of legendary St. Anthony HS (N.J.), and former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy.

The event costs $150 and includes a continental breakfast, lectures, prizes, and snacks and runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..

Last year’s event drew 500 attendees.
