Top 100 point guard Wesley Clark is headed to Missouri

Frank Haith has ensured that Missouri’s point guard play won’t be hurt with the graduation of Phil Pressey as he landed a commitment from one of this summer’s breakout performers in Wes Clark.

Clark ended the high school season as a guy with a handful of mid-major offers -- schools like Dayton and Cleveland State -- but after he followed up a terrific performance at the Lebron James Skills Academy with another strong showing at the Nike Global Challenge, Clark had managed to climb his way into the top 100 rankings while attracting a number of high-major suitors.

Clark will remind some people of Pressey in the way that he can run a team and his peskiness on the defensive end of the floor, but he’s bigger than Pressey and has more range on his shot.

Another point guard -- Travis Jorgenson -- is the only other player that Missouri currently has committed in the Class of 2013, as Zach Coleman recently reopened his recruitment. The Tigers also hold a commitment from Anton Beard, yet another point guard, this one being a top 100 recruit in the Class of 2014.
