Take a peek at the ‘bracket’ for the Legends Classic

TicketCity-Legends-Classic

The long-awaited brackets for the Legends Classic were announced Monday, and they’re exactly what you’d expect from a manufactured event where all the favorites already have a ticket to the “Championship Round.”

It’s mostly forgettable November basketball.

There’s a full bracket here, but trust me when I tell you the early matchups are lame.

It’s not like the Gazelle Group is going to risk any chance Indiana, UCLA, Georgetown or Georgia not advancing. That’s why those teams host their own regionals and have winnable games against the likes of Sam Houston State, James Madison and Youngstown State.

Not that the rest of the event is completely forgettable. A UCLA-Georgetown semi and Indiana facing that winner should appeal to any fan. The “subregional” games are decent from a competitive standpoint, but not much else.

So let’s call it mostly forgettable. That work for everyone?
