Butler head coach Brad Stevens got his second commitment from the Class of 2013 on Saturday when Rhode Island forward Andrew Chrabascz committed to the Bulldogs while on a campus visit, Adam Finkelstein of ESPN.com is reporting.

Chrabascz plays at Cushing Academy (Mass.) and is a member of the well-known AAU program BABC, which has included players like Nerlens Noel, Goodluck Okonoboh, Wayne Selden, and Georges Niang in recent years.

The 6-8, 240-pound Chrabascz has a good feel for the game and, with his size, works well in the post. He fits well at the A-10 level, where Butler now finds itself after leaving the Horizon League this spring.

Former NBA guard Chris Herren, a Massachusetts native whose life story was told in the critically acclaimed documentary “Unguarded”, took to Twitter to congratulate Chrabascz on his commitment.

“I’ve been fortunate to watch an AMAZING kid grow up @chrabascz45 and now achieve what he has worked so hard for..Luv ya! Big win for BUTLER,” he wrote.

Chrabascz also held interest and offers from schools that include Alabama, Canisius, Creighton, Delaware, UMass, Davidson, and Vermont.

Nolan Berry, another player of a similar size, committed to the Bulldogs this past fall from the Class of 2013, now joined by Chrabascz.

Berry and Chrabascz don’t step on campus until 2013, but Stevens leads Butler into the A-10 this season as he welcomes a three-man recruiting class, led by Indiana native Kellen Dunham.

Stevens also brings in one of the most interesting transfers in the country in former Arkansas guard Rotnei Clarke. The Bulldogs finished last season with an overall record of 22-15 this past season, including 11-7 in the Horizon League.
