The University of Wyoming has partnered with Nike to host an exhibition in Ethete, Wyoming as part of the Nike N7 program, which is designed to bring sports to Aboriginal and Native American communities in North America.

The Cowboys will play Fort Lewis College on October 31 at the Wyoming Indian High School on the Wind River Reservation.

Before the game head coach Larry Shyatt and his players will visit with schoolchildren on the reservation at Wyoming Indian Elementary School.

“Our program is very excited to partner with the efforts of the Nike N7 program,” Wyoming head coach Larry Shyatt said in a statement released by the school.

“One of our most important goals in the upcoming years is to rebuild our strong relationship with our fan base throughout the state.

“This is the first step of what we hope is reaching out to all Cowboy fans in Wyoming for the seasons to come.”

Ethete is located in Fremont County and is located around 250 miles northwest of Laramie, which is located in the southeast part of the state.

So not only will the Cowboys’ trip be for a good cause, but it will also give folks a chance to watch their state’s university.

The only question: will there be special uniforms for the game? Oregon State, another program that’s taken part in the Nike N7 program, has worn teal in such games.

Will we see the Pokes in colors other than their customary brown and gold? Maybe, maybe not.
