Fresh off a national championship and reloaded with a Top 3 recruiting class in the country, Kentucky’s Rupp Arena non-conference schedule was released and, if you were looking for a high-level trifecta like North Carolina, Kansas, and Louisville from this past season, you’re not going to find it.
The top billing? Baylor on December 1 in Lexington.
Other than Scott Drew’s Bears, Kentucky takes on Northwood and Transylvania in exhibitions, then will open its season against Lafayette on November 16, followed by Morehead State, Long Island, Samford, Portland, Lipscomb, Marshall, and Eastern Michigan.
To the credit of coach John Calipari and his team, the Wildcats play neutral-court games against Maryland and Duke in the non-conference, as well as travel to Notre Dame and Louisville, but if you’re looking to catch a big game at Rupp Arena, you might have to wait until SEC play begins.
