After flip-flopping a handful of times over the last month, it looks like Villanova big man Markus Kennedy has finally made the decision to leave the Wildcat program after talking to Jay Wright.

“We had a good talk,” Wright told Philly.com. “He’s a wonderful kid. I respect his decision, and support it. We wish him nothing but the best.”

Kennedy averaged 3.0 points and 4.4 boards in just about 20 minutes per game as a freshman, but it appears that Kennedy -- who was three-star recruit coming out of high school -- made the decision to leave to ensure more playing time. Villanova has Mouphtaou Yarou and Maurice Sutton returning as well as incoming freshman Daniel Ochefu.

Those are a lot of bodies for Kennedy to play over considering Villanova’s guard-oriented offense.
