St. Anthony (N.J.) guard Josh Brown reportedly decommits from Temple

Josh Brown

As Josh Brown’s stock continues to rise this spring, it appears he wants to look at what other options might be on the table.

The 6-3 guard from St. Anthony (N.J.) has decommitted from Temple and will reopen his recruitment, Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv is reporting.

“The reason why I did is I don’t want to regret anything when all is said and done. I want to just enjoy the process,” Brown told SNY.tv. “Temple is still top on my list. The new schools I have now are Rhode Island, Gonzaga, Virginia and Richmond.”

Brown won the MVP at Hoop Group’s Pitt Jam Fest in April and has continued to excel throughout the spring.

Playing alongside UCLA signee Kyle Anderson at St. Anthony this past season, Brown has been able to grow his game and has become an elite defender with good size and length for a high-major point guard.

Brown also won MVP at the Rumble in the Bronx, where he led his Sports U team to a championship, defeating the Playaz Basketball Club, 57-55, in triple overtime.
