The Morning Mix

- As a “proud” alum of the 2002 D-III National runner-ups, I think it’s pretty awesome that the D-II and D-III Final Fours will be part of the 2013 Final Four in Atlanta.

- Have a look at all the attendance figures from 2011-2012. As you could expect, Kentucky led the way. Syracuse was second, but led in total fans. Well, that will happen when you play in a dome. More so, that will happen when you play in a place that can seat 7,000 more fans than the next largest arena

- Nobody does this type of story better than Dana O’Neil. She checks in on former-March Madness darling Harold Arceneaux

- I’m not sure if there is a “college basketball” sub-genre of fictional short stories, but if there was, this would win all sorts of literary award

- Don’t look now, but the CAA could be nearing the end of it’s “Golden Age”. There are a lot of reasons why, and this article should cover all the bases

- The Ivy League is getting a TV deal with NBC Sports, but they aren’t getting a post-season tournament

- Mike Huguenin on why the ACC’s new TV deal is a important to the Big East and their search for a new commissioner

- Eamonn Brennan provides your weekly post addressing the “one and done” rule

- I can’t believe I actually enjoyed a post written by Jeff Borzello. But you should read it, even if his head-shot does look like something he pulled from his 8th grade yearbook. Oh, I forgot to mention what it’s about: It’s not Kentucky’s fault the NCAA is investigating Nerlens Noel

- What’s this? Louisville wants out of the Big East? It doesn’t work like that. You don’t just “want in” one year, then a decade later “want out”. If a university wants to change conferences every ten years, why don’t we just get rid of all the conferences all together?

- Texas Tech freshman guard DeShon “Biggie” Minnis will transfer to Rhode Island. Don’t look now, but Danny Hurley is stockpiling talent up in Kingston

- Anthony Davis eats a hot wing. Yes, that’s totally video-worthy
