Illinois State has announced that former star Dan Muller will be introduced as the program’s new head coach in a press conference at 4 pm Tuesday.
Muller was an all-conference player for the Redbirds in the late 90’s and made the 1997 and 1998 NCAA tournaments with the team. Muller played for Kevin Stallings at ISU and has been a member of his staff at Vanderbilt since 2000.
Muller will be replacing Tim Jankovich, who accepted a position on Larry Brown’s staff as SMU’s head coach in waiting.
Muller beat out current ISU assistant Rob Judson and Gonzaga assistant Ray Giacoletti for the job. Earlier on Monday, a local paper reported that Judson had been given the job.
