Binghamton Athletic Director Mark Elliot has announced that head coach Mark Macon will not return in that capacity next season.

The Bearcats finished 2-29 last season, including 1-15 in the America East. Their two victories came against Vermont and UMBC.

Prior to his three-year head coaching stint at Binghamton, he served as an assistant coach there for two seasons. Previous stops includes assistant coaching positions at Georgia State and Temple.

He finished with an overall record of 23-70 in his three seasons with the Bearcats, with his best season coming in his first year, when the team finished 13-18.

Binghamton has one commitment from the Class of 2012: guard Marcellous Bell of DeMatha. Bell played in the same backcourt as Pittburgh-bound guard James Robinson.
