Tennessee transfer Renaldo Woolridge signs with USC

RenaldoWoolridge

Tennessee Volunteers transfer Renaldo Woolridge has signed with Southern California, reports Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com.

Woolridge is a native of North Hollywood, Calif., and was granted a medical hardship waiver as a one-year transfer. He will be eligible to play in the fall.

An ankle injury limited him to just eight games in his junior season.

Woolridge averaged 4.3 points and 3.3 rebounds at Tennessee this past season, with one of his best games of the season coming in late January against No. 1 Kentucky, when he scored 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting.

USC was 6-26 last season, including 1-17 in the Pac-12.

Woolridge may be more famous, not for what he has done on the basketball court, but in his short career as a rapper, with the stagename “Swiperboy.”

His hit song “Never Leave You Like Kiffin” is embedded below. Woolridge released the song when Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin left Tennessee for USC.

Ironically, Woolridge followed the same path.
