Baylor knew it’d lose at least two starters from its 30-8 Elite Eight team. Now make it three.

Freshman Quincy Miller will enter the NBA draft, per a report by Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. That leaves the Bears only its starting backcourt of Pierre Jackson and Brady Heslip intact – and not much of a frontcourt. Reserves Deuce Bello, A.J. Walton and Gary Franklin are also guards. Cory Jefferson’s the only one with much size coming back to Waco.

The Bears do have an impressive incoming recruiting class, featuring 5-star prospect Isaiah Austin and power forward Ricardo Gathers. Both will almost certainly receive ample playing time now.

Miller, a 6-9, 210-pound wing, was projected as a lottery pick in the 2013 NBA draft. He’ll probably remain a lottery pick in the 2012 version.

He averaged 10.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and shot 34.8 percent from beyond the arc. More was expected of him as one of 2011’s top prospects, but he never seemed fully healthy after ACL surgery as a high school senior.
