With there still not being a resolution to the Trey Burke situation (will he return to Ann Arbor or go pro), one would think that former Central Michigan guard Trey Zeigler would hear from Michigan.
Despite the fact that Zeigler hasn’t heard from them thus far he remains interested in the school at this point.
Already having visited both Duke and Pittsburgh, Zeigler says that he’s also spoken with Louisiana Tech, Michigan State and UCLA.
Obviously losing Trey Burke would put Michigan in a tough position for next season but they did make an addition to the 2012 class on Friday, landing point guard Spike Albrecht.
And with Derrick Walton slated to arrive in 2013 that could be the reason why Zeigler hasn’t heard from Michigan.
It isn’t as if Zeigler, who decided to move on after his father was fired by Central Michigan, will be eligible to play immediately.
Could something change, leading to Michigan giving Zeigler a call? Sure, but a closer look at the recruiting situation shows that it’s isn’t shocking that they haven’t.
