As reported by Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com, Boston College guard Matt Humphrey has decided to leave the program.
Humphrey will be able to play immediately next season, and his new school will be his third.
A native of Chicago who played his high school basketball at Hales Franciscan, Humphrey was second on the team in scoring last season with an average of 10.3 points per game.
Humphrey began his collegiate career at Oregon, transferring to Boston College after two seasons in Eugene.
Outside of Humphrey and graduate student John Cahill all key contributors are expected back from last season’s 9-22 team.
Forward Ryan Anderson, wing Patrick Heckmann and center Dennis Clifford all showed promise last season and will be good building blocks for Steve Donahue in Chestnut Hill.
