On Sirius/XM Radio’s “Inside College Basketball” program, Murray State junior guard Isaiah Canaan announced his intentions to return to school for his senior season.

Canaan was Player of the Year in the OVC while also being named to the AP and John R. Wooden All-America teams.

In his interview with host Jeff Goodman, Canaan issued the following statement when asked of his intentions:

“I will be coming back. I feel like I still got some things to prove. We’ve got a great group of guys still here with an exceptional coach and I want to make another run at it.”

Canaan helped lead the Racers to a 31-2 record, averaging 19.0 points and 3.6 assists per game.

Murray State will have to replace three of their top four scorers from this season (Donte Poole, Ivan Aska and Jewuan Long), but the return of Canaan and Ed Daniel means that they’ll once again be a favorite to win the OVC.
