Celtics guard, ex-Wildcat Rondo makes title game prediction

RajonRondoDribble

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was cool, calm, and collected as he took the question.

“We all know what is going to happen [Monday night],” he told reporters after the Celtics’ 91-72 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon.

When pressed to elaborate on the point, he went the simple route:

“Self-explanatory.”

Rondo, the former Kentucky Wildcat, is probably feeling confident about his school’s chances on Monday night and he wasn’t afraid to say it.

He played two seasons in Lexington, averaging close to 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steal in his sophomore season, before departing for the NBA draft and ultimately landing with Boston.

Rondo has kept close ties to Kentucky since his departure, even returning to school during the NBA lockout this season to continue his education.
