In mid-January, Louisville was 14-5, had lost five of its last seven games – including a 31-point loss to Providence – and seemed to be in danger of a slide that’d take the Cardinals to the NIT.
Yet a little more than two months later, here they are, in the Final Four. Two more wins, and they’ll have made an improbable run from Big East afterthought to national champs.
Hmmm. That sounds familiar.
