According to ESPN.com’s Andy Katz, Bryce Drew will return to Valparaiso for his second year as head coach.

Drew interviewed for the open Mississippi State job but decided to withdraw from consideration, and he was due to interview with Tulsa on Tuesday. Various reports have that job going to Kansas assistant Danny Manning.

Drew led the Crusaders to a 22-12 record this season and their first-ever Horizon League regular season title.

With Drew and Murray State’s Steve Prohm both deciding to return to their current employer, it remains to be seen who Mississippi State looks to in filling their vacancy.

Kentucky assistant Kenny Payne’s name has been mentioned, but whoever gets that job will have quite the challenge on their hands due to heavy personnel losses. Luckily Rodney Hood is due to return to Starkville.
