Drexel missed this year’s NCAA tournament, but coach Bruiser Flint will have many more years to rectify that. He signed a multi-year contract extension with the school Monday. Terms were not disclosed.
“Bruiser has done an outstanding job of making Drexel one of the top programs in the CAA over the last 11 years. We look forward to him continuing to lead the Dragons in the years to come,” athletics director Eric Zillmer said in a release.
Flint is third in career victories at Drexel (199). He’ll likely surpass Eddie Burke (205) and Sam Cozen (213) next year as the Dragons return nearly every player from this season’s Colonial Athletic regular-season champs who won a school-record 29 games.
Drexel ended its season with a loss to Massachusetts in the NIT quarterfinals.
