Despite reports on Friday that he’d decided to enter the 2012 NBA Draft, Weber State guard Damian Lillard says that he has not come to a final decision.
In an interview with Roy Burton of the Standard-Examiner, Lillard stated that while he is leaning towards not returning for his senior season he has not come to a decision on the matter.
“I’m definitely leaning toward [entering the draft] most likely, but I haven’t made a decision for sure whether I’m going to leave or not,” Lillard said.
Lillard was named to a Third Team All-American by the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches), and while many have projected him to land in the latter portion of the lottery the Oakland native is still gathering information.
Weber State head coach Randy Rahe and Lillard’s family have been a part of the process as well, and should Lillard decide to go he’s stated that he will hire an agent immediately.
