Kendall Marshall questionable for Sunday

For the first time since fracturing a bone in his wrist last Sunday, Kendall Marshall participated in a practice with his North Carolina teammates.

“Kendall today [Saturday] went through the dummy stuff,” UNC coach Roy Williams said. “It was the first day he’s bounced a ball, the first day he caught a ball, the first day he shot a ball.”

“Now we want to see if [the wrist] bothers him. [Sunday] at shootaround we’ll do the same thing.”

Marshall is officially listed as questionable, although he’ll need to pain to subside and his range of motion to increase if he is going to be able to give it a go tomorrow.

Playing without Marshall, UNC was taken to overtime by Ohio despite opening up a 15 point halftime lead. Stilman White finished six assists and no turnovers in Marshall’s stead, but the rest of the Tar Heel roster struggled. They committed 24 turnovers as a team — five of which were committed by Harrison Barnes, who went 3-16 from the floor — as the rest of the lineup was forced to try and do things offensively that they haven’t done all season long.
