With all the talk about players transferring out of Wake Forest, it would only make sense that a former Demon Deacon would be in the news.

Ari Stewart, who sat out this season after transferring to USC, was arrested back in February for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. At the time, Stewart’s Trojan teammates were on the road playing Arizona and Arizona State. Since he is a transfer sitting the season out, he is not allowed to travel with the team.

“I’m aware of the situation. We’re dealing with it internally,” head coach Kevin O’Neill told ATVN. “I’m sure that Ari regrets this situation more than anybody.”

Stewart averaged 8.5 ppg and 4.4 rpg as a sophomore at Wake Forest.
