Kentucky earned themselves the No. 1 overall seed, which is not a surprise for anyone. This team is the best team in the country, and getting knocked off in the title game of the SEC Tournament doesn’t change that fact.

Kentucky is headed to the South region.

Syracuse was the second No. 1 seed, in the East Region. UNC earned the third No. 1 seed in the Midwest and Michigan State, fresh off of a win over Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament, will be headed out West.

None of this is really a surprise. None of it is really all that controversial, either. The only team that really has an argument are from the Big 12 in Kansas and Missouri. And, frankly, I don’t think you can put them in over a team that won a share of the regular season title and the tournament title in the nation’s toughest conference, the Big Ten.
