Did Michigan State just earn themselves a No. 1 seed?

It looks like Michigan State is going to be headed to a one seed.

That’s at least what the consensus seems to be. The Spartans beat Ohio State in the final of the Big Ten Tournament, knocking off Ohio State 68-64.

So why do I think Michigan State deserves a No. 1 seed? Its simple: they won a share of the regular season title in the nation’s best conference. Then they went out and won the league’s tournament. How many teams in the league’s power conferences can boast a dual-championship like that?

Hint: just the one. Michigan State.

And that has to count for something right.
