Big East again lands most bids, followed by Big 12, Big Ten

Once again, the Big East placed the most teams in the NCAA tournament field of 68. And it wasn’t even close.

Nine Big East teams got it (down two from last season). Syracuse led the way as a 1 seed, while Marquette and Georgetown were the next highest as 3s. South Florida was one of the last teams into the field. It was the lowest of the bunch as a 12.

Next most was the Big 12 and Big Ten at six teams each.

Here’s a complete list of teams in the field, by conference, as compiled by the AP:
