Even after hours of resume comparisons, there are more questions than answers when it comes to this year’s bubble teams. And Friday’s games promise more of the same. Where do we stand? Let’s take a look. Disclaimer: Current results are subject to change.

The last 5 teams currently IN the field .... Seton Hall, Texas, Mississippi State, St. Joseph’s, Drexel.

The first 5 teams current OUT ... Dayton, South Florida, Miami-Fla, NC State, Washington.

Bubble teams still under consideration pending further results (in no particular order): Iona, Oral Roberts, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi, Central Florida, Marshall, Northwestern, Oregon, Arizona

Teams not listed above that are still alive for at-large consideration (if needed): Nevada, Long Beach State

We also have several BCS teams that could earn an automatic bid: Iowa, Minnesota, LSU, Colorado, Oregon State, Maryland

We’ll have a bracket update late tonight or early Saturday (most likely) that accounts for today’s games. It will be interesting to see how the Selection Committee handles this unique selection situation. The bubble may not be weaker than past years, but it is certainly much larger this late into the season. Maybe things will be a lot more clear by Saturday morning. Don’t count on it though.
