If the Pac-12’s regular season churned your stomach, the opening day of its conference tournament surely made you lose your lunch.
Stanford throttled Arizona State. UCLA’s 55-40 win over USC set a new record for futility by both teams. Then the nightcap – Colorado’s 53-41 victory vs. Utah – broke that record. Ugh.
One of the few that didn’t completely blow chunks was when Oregon State held off Washington State to kick off the day. It wasn’t a pretty game, but it blew away the other three and resembled actual basketball.
Also? It opened with this glorious shot of the Staples Center. This might be the prettiest thing the tournament produces all week.
