New Mexico recovered just in time on Saturday to rally past Boise State 76-61 and claim a share of the Mountain West title.
Drew Gordon wouldn’t have had it any other way on Senior Night.
The Lobos’ star center scored 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against the overmatched Broncos, who took actually led for a short time in the second half to lead before the Lobos (24-6, 10-4) on a 21-6 run in the final six minutes. Gordon accounted for 11 of those points, including a 3-pointer – the first of his career.
They just missed on claiming the outright title when San Diego State held off TCU later than night. New Mexico will be the No. 2 seed in the MWC tournament next week. This video is no longer available. Click here to watch more NBC Sports videos!
