Reggie Johnson’s indefinite suspension lasted a whopping one game. Now he’ll be back to assist the ‘Canes in their push for the NCAA tournament.
The NCAA restored the center’s eligibility Tuesday night, just two days after Miami’s upset of Florida State. Johnson didn’t play during that game due to an investigation revealing that his family accepted “impermissible travel benefits” from the school’s former coaching staff.
So when Miami (17-10, 8-6 in ACC) asked the NCAA to make a quick ruling on Johnson, it got its wish answered.
Now Johnson, who averages 10.6 points and 6.9 rebounds a game, will join the team in Raleigh, N.C. for its game against N.C. State on Wednesday night.
Tip-off is 9 p.m. ET.
