When Florida State stunned Duke last month – Michael Snaer’s shot was the definition of Dagger – it was one of those moments that signaled this season’s ACC race might be a little different.
That’s for sure.
The Seminoles (19-7, 10-2 in ACC) have lost just once since then and pulled off a first in school history with its wins at all four North Carolina schools. Duke (23-4, 10-2) has also lost just once and is tied with the ‘Noles and UNC atop the ACC.
That’s enough to make anyone excited for Thursday’s night Duke-FSU game.
OK, one last detail. FSU’s win didn’t sit well with Duke’s Austin Rivers, if you remember. Can’t say that’s a kid who needs extra motivation to score, but that might just do it.
