Central Florida will be appearing before the Committee on Infractions in April as a result of a report from ESPN and the New York Times that Ken Caldwell and Brandon Bender worked as runners between agents and players recruited by UCF.

In an effort to soften that blow, UCF has put in some self-imposed sanctions, per the Orlando Sentinel:

- They placed UCF Athletics on probation for three years, which prompts extensive NCAA compliance oversight.

- Vacate all for the for the three seasons between 2008-2011.

- Drop from 13 to 12 basketball scholarships for the next two years.

- Reduce the number coaches allowed to simultaneously recruit off campus from three to two during the next two academic years.

- Coaches are banned from engaging in off campus recruiting during two of three evaluation July periods during the next two academic years

- Reduce the number of recruiting days by 25 during the next two academic years.

- Limit basketball official visits to seven per year for the next two academic years. It represents a 20 percent reduction in UCF’s average official visits during the past four years.

- Issued letters of reprimand to UCF basketball head coach Donnie Jones and assistant basketball coach Darren Tillis. Jones was suspended for the first three Conference USA games, while Tillis was suspended for two Conference USA games. Senior guard AJ Rompza was suspended 12 games for accepting $900 from Caldwell.

- Tillis and Jones are not eligible for bonuses or salary increases for the 2012 and 2013 fiscal years.

Probation, recruiting sanctions and a pair of suspensions.

The NCAA sure does rule with an iron fist.
