Kentucky gets Lamb back; will Knight, Jones and Liggins follow?

Doron Lamb ensured Kentucky didn’t lose every star freshman from its 2010 class.

mostly because he knows the Wildcats’ incoming class gives them a great chance at winning it all.

“Losing the last game against UConn was tough and I don’t want to end my college career with that feeling,” Lamb said. “With the guys we have coming in next year, I know we have the talent to make another run at a national title. I want to help bring a national championship back to the Big Blue Nation because I know they’ve been waiting too long.”

The new additions – – rate as the top class of 2011. Combined with Lamb and senior wing Darius Miller, it’s a group capable of reaching another Final Four.

Yet the bigger question is who else might be along for the ride next season.

, while forwards Terrence Jones and DeAndre Liggins could do the same. Keeping one of the three would crucial to the Wildcats’ depth. Keeping two of ‘em would be huge.

All three? Well, that’s just seems impossible.

, the possibility that Knight’s staying seems unlikely. The school probably would’ve asked him to make a joint statement with Knight. But the longer Jones and Liggins take to decide, the more probable their return becomes.

And creates an even more delightful regular-season showdown against North Carolina.
