Get your Butler 2011 championship gear now!

If Connecticut wins the national title Monday night, Butler fans might want to flock to Kohl’s. That or consider the department store a massive jinx.

The store is selling Nike shirts ($24) proclaiming the Bulldogs 2011 champs. Fans can “cut down the nets with all our Butler Bulldogs gear at Kohl’s.” I’m secretly hoping Brad Stevens wears it as an undershirt on Monday.

And, for Kentucky fans who want to remember this season on a happier note, Fanscloset.com is still offering Wildcats national champ shirts ($19.99). Wonder if John Calipari wore one Saturday night?

Printing shirts before the outcome is determined isn’t anything new. How else do you think players can wear that championship gear moments after a victory? It’s just that the shirts featuring the wrong champs usually aren’t seen in the U.S.

But hey, nothing like getting ahead of the competition.
